Students, faculty, sponsors and several members of the Knoxville community gathered at the Bearden Banquet Hall for the College of Communication and Informationā€™s Experience Diversity Banquet on Friday, March 2. The banquet served as a fundraiser for the collegeā€™s Diversity Student Leaders Society, who takes several leadership trips and conferences throughout the year. The night was filled with food, music, a live auction by CCI lecturer and DSLS director Alice Wirth, door prizes, more food and an inspirational speech by keynote speaker Avon Rollins, who worked for several years during the civil rights movement.
