The Style Files: The 9 Things You Should Absolutely Wear This Spring

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wake Forest chapter.

As the pink cherry blossoms start to bloom, it’s clear the winter months are dwindling to an end. Springtime is in the air. As collegiettes transition from the dark-colored and fur-vested season, Her Campus has the complete guide to help you jump-start into spring.

1. The Bold and the Beautiful.
Spring demands bright and bold colors. So make sure you carry your confidence high as you grab everyone’s attention with dazzling colors.

2. Sweet Scoop.
This spring’s modern take on femininity showcases pastels in sweet, ice cream shades of strawberry, lemon, orange, and most noticeably mint. I’ll have a scoop of each!

3. White Is the New Black.
The ever-so-popular white jeans are back in. These can be paired with any feminine or sexy top for day or night.

4. Steal My Sunshine.
Keep a lookout for yellows (Go Deacs!). Also, incorporate lively colors like oranges and pinks into your wardrobe.

5.       Tired of Math Class?
Well, sorry we can’t help you get out of it, but maybe you can impress your calculus prof with this one: geometrical and tribal shapes are must-haves this season.

6.       Au Natural.
Earth-toned faces have been seen on all of the models on the runways for the spring. Makeup is more natural this season to calm down the bright and bold fashion looks.

7.       Totes Adorbs.
According to Neiman Marcus, tote bags are in high demand this season.

8.      What a Gem.
Green and blue jewelry like this necklace from Stella and Dot makes a great statement piece. Try piecing accessories of these vivacious colors to a simple outfit.

9.       Mark Rothko Would Be Proud.
This look is inspired by the famous modernist painter, Mark Rothko. You will see strong blocks of colors on dresses, handbags, and shirts.
