If you do want to go somewhere outside the home to celebrate, I encourage you to try something new. Go to a restaurant that you’ve never been to or even a town close by that you’ve never been in. It doesn’t have to be fancy by any means, but being a little adventurous is different and exciting. Whatever you do, have some fun and make it unique.

Simply making a card expressing your appreciation for someone can go a long way and is usually better than any other gift.
