Awkward Encounters Ana Roll

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Tulane chapter.

As we finally settle into second semester we have adjusted to our class schedules, re-accommodated ourselves with The Boot, and reconnected with friends.
We have also had inevitable awkward encounters with ghosts of the semester past. Perhaps you “shook hands” at The Boot or were caught walk of shaming…on several occasions…by the same person. You may have even been sneaking out from your awkward encounter’s room. Whatever your situation, don’t reiterate that it happened. A pleasant smile or nod is sufficient. Then go text your roommate/best friends and gush about how awkward it was. Chances are it was awkward for them too, but they’re less likely to obsess over it. On the off chance your awkward encounter is a reoccurring event, disregard the fact that any prior encounters have occurred. There is no reason to bring it up (it will never be a funny “remember that time…). However, picturing them half naked or stumbling down your hallway with messy morning hair is entirely fair game. Just because it’s awkward now, doesn’t mean your original encounter wasn’t enjoyable. Remember everyone smile, nod, run. This is awkward encounters Ana roll.
