Kick off 2012 with the motto of “New Year, New You!” What could be more motivation to eat well and get fit than a diet that keeps you in shape, leaves you feeling sexy and calms you down. It is super easy! Just alternate between and keep all these things in mind. The way this mixes things up makes it impossible for you to ever get bored!
STEP ONE: Sexy
Eating dark chocolate, of course in moderation, will stimulate your endorphins because it contains a chemical that acts as a great aphrodisiac. Drinking coffee is a win-win situation: it wakes you up and also is proven to perk up your sex drive. You can easily get your chocolate fix at the “Sex-Change” or Wawa. As for the coffee, we can get that anywhere on campus, but the Daily Grind and Aroma’s are prime choices with a great atmosphere. Exercise wise, strength training is a great way to tone up your muscles while torching calories. You can use free weights or the machines at the Rec and check this off the list. All of these together will leave you feeling smoking hot!
STEP TWO: Skinny
Fruits, veggies, salad, and eggs are all foods that are super healthy and great for staying slim. Each of these can easily be found at any of the dining halls, Bloom or at local restaurants. Do any cardio activity of your choice, whether it’s a fitness class such as Body Pump or Body Combat, or using a machine such as the treadmill, at least three times a week for a minimum of 30 minutes. This will get you the slender body that you’ve been after! Don’t forget to get creative too!
STEP THREE: Stress-Free
Eat your way to Zen with berries, oranges and walnuts. Again, these can easily be found really anywhere on campus or locally! For fruits and veggies, you might want to check out The Fresh Market or Trader Joe’s. Yoga is a great work out that will increase your flexibility and strength. Hot yoga is even better because all of the sweat detoxifies your body. You can find yoga classes at the Rec throughout the week. If you are looking for other types of yoga, such as the Hot Yoga, look into the Body Balance Yoga Studios at McLaws Circle or Prince George Street (the place under Berry Body). They are awesome! Together these will promote serenity while keeping your body looking fineeee!
This clearly is the “cherry on top” of all diets! So indulge yourself!
