The time has (almost) come for Winter Break! Think of how many manis and pedis you’ll be able to get, movies you’ll be able to watch, cookies you’ll be able to bake, and all of the fabulous presents you’ll give and receive for the holidays. I certainly can’t wait, and I’m almost positive that all of you can’t either. For those of you who are home this week, I’m jealous!! For those of you still at the Buck like me, well…at least we’re in this together. Here’s a guide to the week’s weather and the fashion to go along with it, and these outfits work for home or school!
Monday, December 12: Mostly sunny with a high of 43. A chilly yet pleasant day, today calls for a comfy cardigan, skinny jeans, and your favorite pair of leather boots. Add a bright cashmere scarf for a touch of luxury and color, and add personal touches like bangles or your favorite pair of stud earrings to make the look all your own.
Tuesday, December 13: Sunny with a high of 46. Today calls for a brightly colored sweater paired with dark skinnys and a fab pair of ankle boots. If you’re feeling bold and don’t fear the cold, wear your favorite pair of Tory or J.Crew flats to complete the look. Add a long necklace and simple earrings for instant glam.
Wednesday, December 14: Cloudy with a high of 45. Channel winter’s natural vibe by pairing a neutral-colored cable knit sweater with utility boots or a pair of rustic leather ones. You’ll feel comfy and cool–two ideals for studying or relaxing.
Thursday, December 15: Showers and a high of 47. Looks like today is a leggings and big Bucknell sweatshirt day! Pair with a classic baseball cap, cute earrings and a scarf for an ultra comfortable yet fashionable rainy-day ensemble.
Friday, December 16: Partly cloudy with a high of 44. Most of you will either be home or on your way there by now, so I suggest celebrating a little by dressing up your look a notch! Pair your nicest sweater-whether it sparkles, is beaded, or includes other funky elements-with classic black boots, medium-wash skinny jeans, and bold earrings and rings. Wear your hair in a pulled back high bun, and sport clean make-up with a touch of eye shadow. You’ll look dressed up enough to impress your friends and family when you see them, but you’ll look like you didn’t try too hard to pull yourself together.
For those of you who didn’t take finals yet, I am wishing you the best of luck with your exams. Here’s to the best time of year when we all receive a well-deserved break from schoolwork and get to celebrate the holidays with our friends, family, and loved ones. I wish all of you the best winter break yet, and remember to stay fabulous!
Fashionably yours,
Jen Lassen
