Her Campus Emory (HCE): How do you feel about being elected as ISC president?
Camille (C): Â I have really enjoyed representing my sorority for ISC and am honored that my peers elected me to lead the entire organization.
Â
HCE: What are your responsibilities in this position?
C: There is a wide range of responsibilities for this position. First and foremost I hold the responsibility of operating the InterSorority Council and its activities, which include the day-to-day business and functions of the Council as well as supervising and promoting the activities of each officer. I also call and preside over all regular and special meetings of the InterSorority Council and Executive Board. I report to the National Panhellenic Area Advisor and work closely with the Director of Greek Affairs and Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life. There is also the responsibility of keeping all files up to date. I also strive to promote the positive image of all sororities and promote unity within them.
Â
HCE: What are your personal goals as ISC president? What do you hope to accomplish?
C: The past two ISC Executive Boards have set an excellent precedent of promoting the Intersorority Council and unity among the sororities that make up this organization. I hope to continue to do the same while in office. Additionally, I hope to serve as a resource for all Greek women including my Executive board.
Â
HCE: What have your past positions/responsibilities on ISC been?
C: I served as a representative for my sorority this past year. This entailed attending weekly ISC general body meetings and reporting this information back to my chapter.
Â
HCE: why did you first become involved in ISC?
C: I was appointed the spring of my sophomore year as the ISC representative for my sorority, I saw this as an opportunity to not only benefit my chapter but to also gain knowledge about how exactly the Greek system works.
Â
HCE: Tell us something unique about yourself
C: I am one of six kids, the oldest is 43 and the youngest is 13! (None of them are stepsiblings, only half siblings.) We have all attended or attend the same private high school in Jacksonville.
