With the holidays just around the corner, the thought on every collegiette’s™ mind is what to get their boyfriend for Christmas. I personally always struggle with this dilemma up until I’m at the mall and, even then, I spend hours going from store to store looking for that perfect gift. So to help all of you out there in my position I’ll give you these ideas and hopefully we’ll all spend a little less time stressed and worried.
- Sports Tickets – While this may be on the pricier side of the gift spectrum, if your boyfriend is a sports fanatic, this is the perfect gift, especially given how close we are to some of the greatest teams in sports, aka the Bruins, Patriots, Red Sox and Celtics. So, hop on stubhuband start shopping.
- Concert Tickets – Like sports tickets these can be expensive but, again, are a wonderful way to avoid the overcrowded malls and really wow your special someone. You can find out which concerts are coming to the area and buy the tickets all on stubhub,so go take a look.
- Cologne – I personally love this one because you can spend as much or little money as you want and we benefit from having our boyfriend smell nice. Also, as an added bonus, Sephora has a great collection of colognes, so while you’re there, you can also browse for makeup for yourself!
- Watch – Apparently, watches to guys are like Tiffany necklaces to girls. They love them and are extremely picky about them. However, if you are confident that your guy will like the watch, it is definitely a great purchase that you will get to see them wear over and over.
- Wallet, Tie, Gloves – This is a great option for someone on a budget. You can buy a lot of little things that you know your boyfriend could use. For example, last Christmas was my boyfriend’s first winter in New England, so I bought him a scarf, gloves, and other little things like a wallet and tie clip that he normally wouldn’t think about getting for himself. This gift shows your boyfriend that you know his taste and you’re buying him things he will actually be able to use.
- Clothes– Boys hardly ever go shopping for themselves so they rely on others to give them clothes; hence, why you see so many guys around campus wearing the same gym shorts and t-shirt year round. So venture into the guy section of your favorite store and try to find him something he will love, like a sweatshirt or comfy pajama pants. Not only will he appreciate it, but it will give you more clothes to “borrow.”
