Hot Ticket: Here’s to You, Mrs. Robinson

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Penn chapter.

Each week, the Hot Ticket blog will share a unique item that caught the eye of Her Campus UPenn.

This week I spotted Arts and Sciences Freshman and Durango, Colorado native Jacqueline Heinrich rocking an indie-cool combination for the ages.  What caught my eye was her luxe faux leopard coat (courtesy of Trouvé via Nordstrom for roughly $120), but what I truly died for was her vintage Vespa Servicio bag (purchased in Italy for 40 euros).  Not only is it super functional, but it also has the perfect amount of quirk to keep things interesting.

When asked what she loved about her coat, Jacqueline said she liked that she could wear it anywhere from White Dog to Wawa because it was the “perfect balance of classy and fun”.  Even better, she was first inspired to own a leopard coat of her own after seeing The Graduate. Jacqueline asked me, “have you seen Mrs. Robinson in The Graduate? I’d love to look just like her.” I had to agree – Mrs. Robinson was the ultimate wearer of the classy leopard coat, who wouldn’t want to emulate her?

Jacqueline seemed surprised that I was so enamored with her bag.  She bought it in a random shop in Italy because she felt she “needed something European” (don’t we all?) and because it looked like it would fit her laptop. “It’s practical, I guess,” she added humbly. Yes, very practical, in a very cute way.  I wish I were carrying my laptop around in a vintage vespa bag instead of a black neoprene Incase, and I bet you do too.  Luckily for us, I did some online snooping and found a few great items we can get to achieve Mrs. Robinson’s/Jacqueline’s endlessly desirable style.

Generation X Leopard Fur Coat via Urban Outfitters – $99.00

ModCloth Sports Cargo Bag – $74.99
