It’s the time for giving, and we have the perfect way for you to help others out this holiday season. Emory senior Elizabeth Simon is putting together a package to send to a family in need.
Simon and her friend Chrissie (studying at Tufts University) worked together at Special Camp for Special Kids for five summers, and one of the families with kids at the camp is in trouble.
The family consists of 11 children—seven girls and eight boys, ranging in age from 2-18—three of which have special needs. Recently, the husband cheated on his wife, and left her and their children with nothing. The wife has been forced to move, and is raising 11 children on her own.
“The family is really near and dear to both our hearts, and we would really appreciate your help,” Simon said. “We are trying to get as many donations as we can so we can send presents to the family showing our love.”
Simon is collecting anything and everything—old clothes, toys, board games, food, gift cards, etc.
