Shoes! There’s a Youtube video mocking girls’s addiction to them, it isn’t uncommon to inquire about how many pairs of shoes your friends have, and an interesting pair of shoes are bound to catch someone’s eye. Shoes are a special part of any wardrobe. This week, the impossible has been asked to some of our staff – to single out one favorite pair.
Rebecca: “Definitely my black converses. Sure, they’re faded and tattered and I’m s
urprised they haven’t burst at the seams, but they’re still my favorite pair of shoes. They’re worn in and comfortable and work withmy typical t-shirt and jeans wardrobe. Plus, they’ve definitely proven to be tough. I’ve gone out in the rain, headed to concerts, and been on my feet in them for hours and they’ve survived.”
Danielle:“My brown boots! They are a more chill version of my ‘black combat boots’ that can look a little scary with the wrong outfit.”
Simmone: “I love my leopard print loafers! I like them because they pop out, there something you notice, but at the same time they are classic because they are LEOPARD. Also I can wear them with anything (with the exception of sweats).”
Laura’s Favorite Pair:
Steph:
“Even though I’m already 5’8″, wearing heels always helps make an outfit feel fancier. And, better yet, a classic pair of black pumps gives you an excuse to poke fun at the America’s Next Top Model runway walk.”
Alexandria: “It’s really hard for me to cap it at one pair of shoes because I absolutely love shoes. I’d say it’s a three-way tie between these brown cowboy boots I got in 7th grade, these motorcycle boots I got senior year of high school, and these booties I got last year. They make me feel tough in different ways. Plus, I have great memories in all of them which make them each even better.”
