After ten shots were fired at the UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business Tuesday afternoon, a segment of the campus was put on lock down for the remainder of the day, according to an announcement by a university spokesman.
The campus newspaper, the Daily Cal, reported the incident and provided students with updates.
According to the San Jose Mercury News, an armed man wielded a gun and was later shot by a police officer. He was transported to a local hospital and his identity and condition remain unknown.
ABC news reported that students were immediately told to evacuate the building and provided a live stream of the unfolding activity.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
