The Most Fun You Can Have While Working OutZUMBA!


If you’re someone who hates going to the gym and gets bored running on a treadmill or elliptical, but you love to dance, then we have the solution for you! Our new favorite workout is called Zumba and it’s creating quite the buzz all over the country. The classes here on the UMaine campus are based on dance, cardio and toning your body as you move to the beat and learn the Latin-inspired dance moves of Zumba.
                  
Zumba brings together a variety of dance styles, including Salsa, Flamingo, Hip Hop, Maranga, and Belly Dance. These moves are put together to create a very high intensity workout while feeling like you’re having a dance party! No experience is needed to come participate in one of the Zumba classes at the Rec because the instructor has modified versions of each dance move, so you can keep it as simple as you want!
