This week we’ve decided to honor all of you, our readers, for supporting Her Campus Tufts. Â We had the most readers last week than we’ve ever had, and we are all so appreciative that the Tufts community has welcomed Her Campus Tufts with such open arms.
While many of you enjoy Her Campus Tufts, it is normal that some people don’t quite understand what we’re all about.  We received the following comment on He Said, She Said: Episode 4 a few weeks ago…
We really do respect everyone’s opinion, but that doesn’t mean that we agree with it or aren’t going to try to explain Her Campus Tufts. Â In my opinion, Her Campus Tufts is a group of students who write about what they enjoy. Â We are a diverse group of girls and guys, and our intent is not to “enchain women” in any way. Â We write about what interests us. Â It may not always be the most intellectual topic, but that’s the beauty of it. Â I think Annie said it best: “What really limits us (women) is the fact that we have to say something ‘important’ in order to say anything at all.” Â The comment is more sexist than anything we have ever published. Â It suggests that we are publishing articles on beauty, hair styles, etc because that’s what society expects us to do. Â The truth of it, however, is that we sit around and decide what interests us knowing the personality of the publication. Â We are filling a niche that other Tufts publications do not fill, and we take pride in that position. Â Not everyone wants to read an in-depth, intellectual article all the time. Â Here are some of the things that our staff members had to say in response to “A Guys'” comment.

And thank you to the anonymous person who defended us…
