Carla Berkowitz is a Northwestern pre-med sophomore from California who leads a busy life full of organic chemistry, physics labs, sorority involvement and ASG leadership. This vivacious girl needs easy hairstyles that keep her look fresh and fun.

Monday:
With 10 a.m. organic chemistry every day Carla doesn’t have an endless amount of time to fuss with hair and make-up. With this simple style she can let her natural wavy texture come through and simply twist back two front sections of hair to meet in the back. This style could be changed to simple braids back as well. Not only is this look good for going to class and working in a lab where her hair will be out of her face, but she’s also ready for a cute look to go to chapter dinner.
Tuesday:
To preserve the natural oils in her hair Carla can skip shampooing for Tuesday and simply straighten hair to create a whole new look. To create this style part hair deep to one side and then pull into a low side ponytail on the opposite side of the part. To cover up the hair band and make the style neater, take a thin chunk of hair from the ponytail and wrap it around the pony once then either bobby-pin or slip it between the elastic to keep in place. Then slip on a cute headband for a final touch.
Wednesday:
Carla is very passionate about integrative medicine and loves practicing yoga and meditation. For a great workout style try this high braided ponytail. To make the style a little more loose and care-free braid the pony and then pull pieces with your fingers to loosen it and make it messier.

Thursday:
For a fun style on Thursdays we gave Carla a deep side part and then pulled all of her hair to one side and fish-tail braided it. This fun style is relatively quick to do and looks great for a day of classes.
Friday:
For a look that welcomes in the weekend Carla can quickly straighten her naturally wavy hair and then tease the crown a little bit and bobby-pin the pouf in place. In this variance of the style we did two simple French braids on either side of the pouf and braided until they met in the back. Not only is she ready quickly but it’s also a simple and chic look for going to a casual house party or a frat blow-out.
Saturday:
After a crazy and fun Friday night Carla needs to relax and lounge around. Letting her natural curls come through is an easy way to look good. We added a simple front pouf to this style, which could be substituted for a headband or a braid.
Sunday:
For a day full of studying organic chemistry, physics, micro economics, and statistics Carla needs a style that stays out of her face and doesn’t take much time. Sundays are also a great day to give your hair a break from damaging curling/straightening irons. For this style we let Carla’s hair be naturally curly and then did a deep side part and did two headband French braids to keep her bangs out of her face.
