In the style of Pauly D, “Awww yeah, sadness YEAH!” To say I am disappointed that this season of Jersey Shore has come to a close would be an understatement. My roommates and I celebrate each Thursday/Jersday as being Family Night, a night where each roommate makes a different cuisine each week and then we rest our full tummies by watching Jersey Shore.
We are not only mourning over the loss of seeing our favorite guidos and guidettes each week, but as a part of our family night that will be sorely missed (at least until the next season begins!) So what is there to do? How do we cope? Here is a list of a few ways you may be able to compensate your need for Jersey Shore fun. Warning: jersey turnpikes may be included.
#1 Find a New Show- Although I know it will never be TRULY possible to replace such a dramatic, wacky, and overall erratic show, it is possible to satisfy your craving for now. Try other shows that are attention grabbing such as True Blood, Glee (When it returns in November!), How I Met Your Mother, and Modern Family. Of course I didn’t even swipe the surface of the large number of diverse shows there are on television currently, but it’s all about personal preference in my opinion. For those of you not afraid to pay a little extra- Netflix is always jam- packed with television shows, constantly updating!
#2 Dance Your Sorrows Away- Being those who never turn down a chance to boogie, this became a necessity for my college family. Hit up your favorite bar or club and jersey turnpike out your mourning period: if you’re feeling especially Guidolicious try a new place to bust out your sweet moves!
#3 Wild Card!- Feeling spontaneous? Write out several different ideas and put them in a hat. Each week draw out a slip and fulfill your need for fun! Remember the true college motto: Go big or go home! Make Pauly D and Snooki proud!
