Transform Your Products: Glam Eyes

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Tufts chapter.

I know homecoming has come and gone in a snap, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t show your school spirit at other times of the year, right? After all, Tufts is awesome; why wouldn’t you want to show everyone else the jumbo amounts of spirit you have? (Yup, lame joke was needed.)  I’m going to give you five products you need for a simple, quick, appropriate for daytime Jumbo-based look!

  • Navy blue eyeliner
  • Shimmery brown shadow
  • Dark brown shadow
  • Mascara
  • Eye-shadow primer
  • Optional! Matte brown eye shadow (I used it in the pictures)
  1. Prime your eyelids with the eyeshadow primer
  2. Pat the shimmery brown shadow across your lid, focusing on the inner half
  3. Using a swirling motion, concentrate the dark brown shadow on the outer corner of your eye
  4. With lighter strokes, bring the dark brown inward to blend it into a gradient with the shimmery brown
  5. To make sure that the edges of the look aren’t too harsh, blend the shimmer shadow along the top of the look (or the matte shadow if you want!)
  6. Line the upper lashline with the navy blue liner, flicking it out at the side to make a wing
  7. Add mascara and tada!

I hope you enjoy this look, Jumbos! If you want to add more drama, deepen or intensify the dark brown on the outer corner. You could also line the bottom lashline with the navy if you wanted to add more of a pop of color.

Christie is a rising sophomore at Tufts. She absolutely adores coffee in any form,  believes that any dessert can be made better with nutella and any meal better with hot sauce.  In her spare time, she dabbles in graphic design, playing guitar, and photography. She also adores makeup and beauty and believes it's more of an art form than people give it credit for. Music is definitely a huge part of her life: she always has her iPod on and frequently goes to concerts.
