Meet this week’s Campus Cutie, Zack Levi! You might have seen him shooting hoops at the Rec or singing Dave Matthews Band songs around campus. Zack has a great sense of humor and a big heart to match. Spend five minutes with him, and you’ll be smiling and blushing in no time!

Hometown: Lincolnshire, Ill.

Major: Biology

Relationship status: “I’ve been dating the most beautiful girl for a year now. She’s got the most gorgeous blue eyes. “

Favorite movie: “Inception because it’s a very deep movie and made me really think.”

Unique quality: “My best friend is my twin brother.”

Favorite novel: Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows

Involvement on campus: “I’m an active member of Alpha Epsilon Pi, and I intern with Miz Menus. I advertise for their website, which promotes deals for students on campus. I dinner speak to spread the word, pass out free food samples in Speakers Circle and go to local high school football games. I manage their Twitter and Facebook pages as well.”

What do you do during your free time? “Lift weights at the Rec, listen to Dave Matthews, hang out with my girlfriend, chill with my brothers and play basketball.”

Dream vacation spot: “Australia. Their accents are awesome, and I’ve always wanted to see a kangaroo up close and maybe even ride one!”

Favorite restaurant: “Tsu Kasa. It’s a Japanese hibachi steakhouse where they cook right in front of you. It’s a great environment to hang out with friends.”

Perfect first date: A picnic for lunch followed by a trip to the zoo

Bucket list: Skydiving and traveling the world to explore different cultures

Favorite snack: White cheddar popcorn and twin cherries

Hero: “My father because he’s the most levelheaded and intelligent person I know. He always knows the right thing to say and puts others before himself.”

Funniest moment on campus: “When I was pledging my fraternity, we had to yell to strangers in Speakers Circle that gingers (redheads) have souls. We had to get hundreds of signatures of support by the end of the day. One boy in my pledge class is a ginger, so we kept telling people his species had to be saved.”

What cartoon character would you be? “Peter Griffin from Family Guy. He’s always doing something spontaneous, and I consider myself a very spontaneous person. I visited my girlfriend in New Jersey this summer and completely surprised her.”

If you could meet someone dead or alive, who would it be and why?
“Dave Matthews because he’s the most talented musician in the world. I have 1,200 Dave songs on my iPod. My favorite is ‘Warehouse’ from the album The Best of What’s Around.”

Most embarrassing moment: “In seventh grade I thought I was really cool. I was riding my bike with no hands as I was talking on the phone, and I passed a group of cute girls and flew off my bike. I scraped up my body and pretended like nothing happened at all. I was trying to hold back the tears. It was awesome.”

Most rewarding experience: “Raising $80,000 in three days for the AEPi Rockathon. We didn’t sleep or go to class. We were focused on our philanthropy for leukemia. A member in our house had to rock in a chair for three days straight. We stood on street corners and in front of stores and businesses in the Missouri area to raise money. We had the largest philanthropy in the nation. Our goal was $50,000, and we passed that by $30,000. The feeling was indescribable.”
