Boy Types: Celebrity Edition!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at JMU chapter.

Boys: We love to hate them, hate to love them, can’t live with or without them…or whatever. Taylor Swift has been the reigning queen of singing about her boy problems: hey Stephen? Get your act together and stop making Tay Swift ruin her perfect eyeliner! JMU’s male population, or lack thereof, is unique and a commonly known problem for some collegiettes™ on this campus. If your major is one of the few male dominated ones, surprise! You might actually have boys in your classes. But what are these boys really like? They come in all shapes and sizes (I’ll take a medium build with brown hair, hold the baggy jeans, thanks) and get up to all sorts of shenanigans. Sometimes it’s hard not to compare them to our favorite movie stars,. Since there’s a few ‘types’ of males at JMU, I equated them to some of the most attractive male celebrities out there:

The Ryan Gosling. Adorably hip and hopelessly attractive, this boy is usually seen riding around on his bike or heading out of Carrier with a cup of coffee. He tends to fly under the radar, but once you’ve glimpsed him, all of a sudden he’s everywhere. He’ll surprise you with his charm and humor and a feeling that he’s truly a good guy.

The Jesse Eisgenberg. The quiet intellectual, this guy could talk for hours about anything. Although he’d be sure to impress your parents, sometimes he tends to fall into the friend zone (awkward). He’s dependable and so sweet, a reassuring friend to have at JMU.

The Ryan Reynolds. Two words: Major. Hottie. This guy exudes sexiness and often has that look in his eye that he just knows he’s got it. His fit body and all-American style only top his attractiveness.
You might spot him at a frat party or lifting with his buddies at UREC.

The Robert Pattinson. An international export, and rarity on JMU’s campus, he’ll have that to die for accent and cosmopolitan appeal American boys just don’t have. Snag this boy
when you can because he is a hot commodity!

The Tom Brady. This boy is an athlete with some killer moves to prove it. On the field/court/pitch and off, he’s swoon-worthy. You may not find him around the library, but you’ll spot him in those purple JMU warm-up suits or t-shirts for sure. But be careful! Such a well-known guy may attract some drama (or dramatic girls).

Of course, these are our dream guys and in a fantasy world, maybe it could happen. But with so many real live boys on our campus, or even down the street, you might find someone just as cute!  Happy hunting, ladies!
