This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UC Berkeley chapter.

As a college student, money doesn’t come easy.  But have no fear; HC Berkeley has found the best way for you to indulge without spending tons of cash. Say hello to deal websites that offer daily and weekly bargains on local food, health and beauty locations, entertainment, and more. It’s as simple as creating an account and checking your email to enjoy these great ways to save money! Below is a list of the top money-saving websites in Berkeley:

Campuscred.com/ucberkeley

Campus Cred is a website that currently serves most UC campuses and even colleges as far as UNC and UT Austin!  Right now they’re offering rock climbing for only $7. My favorite deal thus far was to Gordo’s Mexican restaurant—yum! To start receiving the discounts, all you need to do is register with your .edu email address.  Once you pay for the deal, you’ll receive a text message with the code to get the goods. How easy is that?! You can also earn some campuscred cash by inviting your friends to join, so get on it!

Munchonme.com

Like food? Want to try good places around campus for less? Then Munch On Me is for you. Featuring local eateries like Pancho’s and Fa-la-la, Munch On Me is the perfect website for hungry students looking for some cheap eats. We love it because it lets you can try new places for less. The best part is that you don’t need to print anything out to redeem your deal. Just write down your personalized code and the food is yours.

facebook.com/MoochoUCBerkeley

Moochoo is a recent site, but its deals are comparable to Campus Cred. They offer discounts on restaurants, bookstores, cafes, event tickets, shops, classes & more. Be sure to look out for their free items (awesome, I know)!

freedoh.com

Finally, our favorite recent find is Freedoh. Like the name suggests, this website offers lots of free products! What can be better than that? From free donuts to free eyebrow waxes, Freedoh is the best way to experience local small businesses. You are only allowed one free voucher per day—but hey, at least it’s free! Just a little tip, if you refresh the page you can see more deals.
