Music for Your Weekend!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Trinity chapter.

No matter how you are feeling, music has a way of moving you. For some people, this means having different playlists set up in iTunes to complement whatever mood they are in; do “Sleep”, “Work-Out”, or “Pregame” ring any bells? Although I too have these playlists on my iPod, I also am that girl who can listen to just one band to suit my every mood: Dave Matthews Band. Whether I’m excited or sad, getting ready to go out, or waking up after a long night at the frats, Dave has a song for every occasion. I was lucky enough to go to two Dave shows in the last month, one Friday September 16th at Randall’s Island in NYC. This trip to the city was so problem-free that my roommate and I decided we need to take more advantage of our awesome location in Hartford. Not only are there great concert venues right here off campus, but we are located right in the middle of Boston and New York City, two other cities that attract huge artists all year round. With this in mind, here are some concerts coming up that caught my eye:

Hartford:
deadmau5 – October 16
XL Center
Boston:
Matt Nathanson – October 8
House of Blues
NYC:
Katy Perry – November 16
Madison Square Garden

And for those of you who can’t use Dave for everything like I can…
