Campus was covered in pink this Sunday as students, volunteers and survivors gathered for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. The race is held as a fundraiser for breast cancer research but also raises positive awareness of breast cancer and honors those who have lived with the disease. While 25 percent of the proceeds go to national research, 75 percent of the money raised stays in Missouri for research, education, and treatment. Congratulations to all of the participants on their hard work!Â
Although the main event is the race, the Race for the Cure also incorporates a sponsor fair where attendants could find out more about breast cancer and get items like these pretty pink bags!
