Truffles are amazing, beautifully divine creations. They are a perfect mix of deliciousness and
chocolaty goodness, which means we can never indulge in just one. Truffles also happen to be super easy to
make and require very little effort.
This is why I’m going to give you one of my favorite truffle recipes
(it’s easy for presents, rainy days, cravings, and so on and so forth). There are also many variations on truffle recipes, the key is mostly the heavy cream and making sure that there is a dash of whatever flavor you happen to desire (a dash of raspberry liqueur for that kick of berry, mint, lemon). These particular truffles are special…they’re made with oreos instead of chocolate! (I however, like to use a little bit of cocoa powder to tone down the sugar/overarching sweetness). They are guaranteed to blow your mind away. Enjoy!!
Developed from Bakerella and Bianca:
Ingredients:
1 package Oreo cookies
1 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
White chocolate almond bark
Chocolate chips for decorative drizzling, Oreo crumbs, sprinkles, etc.
Note: I like to add an additional 2-3 tablespoons of cocoa powder, but add to your delight!
Directions:
1. Crush cookies and stir in softened cream cheese. Use the back of a large spoon to help mash the two
together.
2. Roll the mixture into 1″ balls and place on wax paper covered cookie sheet.
3. Melt chocolate as directed on the package, then dip balls into chocolate, tap off the excess, and set aside
on a wax-paper-lined cookie sheet to dry.
You can sprinkle the tops with crushed cookies or sprinkles for decoration. It’s really pretty to drizzle them with a contrasting color of chocolate to make them look like truffles. Once dry, refrigerate for at least an hour or until firm and enjoy!
