I am a junior majoring in Economics and minoring in Business and Journalism. Growing up in the fashion capital of the world, New York City, I have wanted to work in the fashion industry ever since I was seven years old. I used to want to be a fashion designer but I have since abandoned that dream in pursuit of a more realistic one, working at a fashion magazine one day. You can be sure the first thing that I buy with my paycheck will be a Chanel quilted 2.55.Â

Who are your style icons?
My style icons are Kate moss, Rachel Bilson, and Nicole Richie. I would say that my style is classy but with an edge.Â
Â
What are your favorite stores to shop at?
My favorite stores to shop at are Forever 21, H&M, Urban Outfitters, and Uniqlo. Uniqlo offers amazing quality at inexpensive prices.
Â
What is your favorite clothing item?
Ugh. This is going to be difficult. I have many favorite pieces of clothing but I would have to say blazers. I think blazers can just transform your outfit drastically. Blazers are smart and polished. If you throw one on over an oversized graphic tee and skinny jeans and add a linen ethnic print scarf, it will dress up your look while also keeping that casual feel. You can also wear a blazer over dresses, really just about anything.
Â
Where do you get your inspiration?
I get inspiration mainly from celebrities and street style blogs such as the Sartorialist, Garance Dore, Altamira, and Hanneli Mustaparta. I enjoy browsing through People Style Watch. Often I’ll peruse through the latest paparazzi pictures of my style icons just to get outfit ideas.Â
Â
Favorite fall trend?
My favorite fall trend is a chunky oversized cable sweater or cardigan. I’m obsessed with cable knit sweaters and fisherman cardigans. I have yet to find the perfect one.Â

Style Advice: If you are on a budget, I would say invest your money in staple pieces, not trendy pieces. You should first buy necessities and then branch out into more trendy pieces that will not stay in style forever. For example everyone needs a little black dress and a wool peacoat but doesn’t necessarily need a pair of cobalt blue skinny jeans.
