Fall Fashion Finds at Apple Boutique

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Chapel Hill chapter.

Fall is around the corner which means the massive heat will begin to ease, the days will get shorter, and more importantly, all the campus fashionistas will start breaking out the hottest fall trends!

In a frantic search for the latest fall fashion pieces, I went to my workplace, Chapel Hill’s very own Apple Boutique, to speak with owner Jamie Holland (and of course to play dress-up in all the gorgeous clothes). Apple Boutique is located in University Square in front of Granville Towers. Jamie Holland opened the boutique in 2005 to offer contemporary women a unique shopping experience. There is a wide range of lines to fit everyone’s wallets and unique styles! Some of the designers include Myne, MM Couture, Karlie, Joy Joy, Tt Collection, DL1961, William Rast and True Religion.

When asking Jamie about the upcoming fall fashion trends, she quickly responded that this fall is all about, “bold bright colors, such as corals, turquoise, reds, electric pinks, purples, yellows and oranges.” This color trend will continue into the winter and holiday season meaning we should all stock up on bold colors ASAP! She also says that sixties fashion trends are in, such as tie-neck florals with high waist flare jeans. What are some other fall finds? Bustier dresses and tops accentuating the more curvy aspects of the silhouette!
Check out these beautiful fall pieces I found at Apple Boutique and let them inspire your own fabulous fall style!

Emma is wearing a multi-print floral MM Couture bustier dress paired with a JPK black Sasha bag and Diana Warner Obligato necklace. Not only is this dress flirty and fun, but you can pair it with a blazer

to wear to class or work, or pair it with a pair of hot pumps for a night out on the town!

This coral Joy Joy button down tunic blouse looks great on Jamie! When you match this top with the brown JPK bag it simply screams fall! It’s a timeless, classic look that you can wear to class, work or on a dinner date.

I’m dressed in a very cute Karlie bird print halter dress! It’s perfect for class or for a get-together with your girlfriends. The dress is extremely comfortable, and I would wear it with a cute pair of boots and a light jacket.

Jamie’s wearing a stunning MM Couture red strapless bustier dress that I fell in love with at first sight! This dress is perfect for a cocktail event or for a night out! Wear it with bold accessories, like the rockstar cuff Jamie has on, or pair it with a cute belt!

I was immediately drawn to this turquoise Joy Joy trench jacket. It’s great for fall and I LOVE the bright color.
Under the jacket  I’m wearing a Tt Collection, white, off-the-shoulder long-sleeved shirt with dark DL1961 denim. DL1961 is a new up-and-coming denim line; the denim is made with revolutionary four way stretch technology so that the way the denim fits in the dressing room is the way it will fit on you no matter how many times you wash or wear it!
A special thanks to Jamie Holland and all the wonderful staff at Apple Boutique. Happy fall — I can’t wait to see how all of you are going to rock this season’s styles!
