Sammy Adams and 3OH!3 to Headline Fall Concert

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Quinnipiac chapter.

On Oct. 1, the Student Programming Board (SPB) will present Sammy Adams and 3OH!3 as this year’s fall
concert. Yes, Sammy Adams, who played at Toad’s Place in New Haven twice last year will be performing exclusively for the Quinnipiac community.

Many people had complaints about last spring’s Ke$ha concert. Even though Ke$ha’s performance was a great attraction for the female Quinnipiac population, it did not appeal to all of the male students.

This time the selections for this fall’s concert needed to appeal to all audience members, and that’s exactly what SPB did. Although, both performers are different, they are able to attract all groups of the Quinnipiac community.

“We had the chance to see Sam Adams twice last year for half the price of the tickets this year,” said sophomore Shauncey Coleman. “I just think they could have done better.”

Despite some views of the concert ,others think it’s a definite improvement. “I like Sammy Adams. I think it is going to be fun,” student Chelsey Rodriguez said. “I had a lot fun at the Ke$ha concert but I honestly think this will be so much better.”

SPB is definitely using the student polls to make their decision as Sam Adams has received many votes and the Quinnipiac community made up a large amount of his crowd at Toad’s Place.

Hoodie Allen, an up and coming artist will open, followed by Sam Adams. 3OH!3 will close the show.

Tickets went on sale Thursday, Sept. 13 and will be available for purchase throughout the month or until sold out.
