This weekend my best friend in, um, the entire WORLD came to visit. College is nothing if not an incredible adventure in meeting new people, making tons of friends, and building lasting relationships, but through it all no one knows me better than this lovely lady. …makes me snap back to reality when I’m being a little, shall we say, crazy
…knew and loved me even when I was a bratty 12-year-old
…encourages all of my academic, artistic, and spiritual endeavors
…eats salt and vinegar chips with me
…tells me the truth even when I don’t want to hear it
…shares her last piece of gum with me
…waited on the side of the road with me for hours after my car overheated
…shares my obsession with all things glittery
…started a really bad band with me called the Smashing Pickles
…has faith in me, no matter what
…cracks my knuckles for me
…emails, calls, BBMs and Facebook stalks me just to say hi
…manages to make the 400 miles between us not so far after all
