I have seen some really amazing people pretty up close and personal this week. First, Sara Bareilles, who I now think is one of the coolest people ever. Then yesterday I actually met and chatted a good deal with Emily Giffin who has the most amazing life! Who doesn’t want to move London and write a book that will become a New York Times Bestseller and a movie?
Here is the wonderful Her Campus Wake Forest staff with Emily!
After this whirlwind of a week, though so much fun at times, I am very excited that tomorrow is Friday and the beginning of the weekend. Mainly I am excited to be able to have some relaxation time (more like catch up on TV time). This relaxation will hopefully include being able to sit down and enjoy a nice meal. As you have probably noticed, a lot of my breakfasts and lunches lately seem to be consistently of the grab-and-go variety, which can get old pretty fast.
My day today is a perfect example of this. I was in Starbucks before class working on a Journalism project this morning and was just planning on having Starbucks oatmeal for breakfast. Much to my dismay, they did not have their Perfect Oatmeal today! Luckily, they had a yogurt parfait so I did not have to go without the most important meal of the day. I usually steer clear of the Starbucks yogurt parfait’s because they are pretty large and pack in about 250 calories, but yogurt and granola is still way better than any of the pastries they offer.
For lunch I grabbed another PB&J. I didn’t like them when I was younger so I guess I am reliving that phase. After class, I had an apple and a string cheese then a few nuts even later to hold me over till I had a late dinner with my Tri Delta family.
You can make it through tomorrow collegiettes™ and then it is the weekend!
HC love,
Alyssa
