What made you decide to come to Hofstra?
I was looking to get out of Connecticut, and I liked being close to the city. When I came to visit the campus, I just really loved it.
Did you know anyone when you first came here?
Yea, my roommate from Freshman and Sophomore Year was actually from my high school – we chose to room together. I knew two other people as well.
Why did you choose your major?
I loved biology in high school, and felt like I would enjoy it in college.
Where do you hope Biology will take you?
After college, I either want to go to grad school or med school. This summer, I’m interning at an aquarium, so maybe something in marine biology.
How did you get this internship?
I wanted to intern by home (in Manchester, CT) during the summer, so I was looking specifically at aquariums online in that area. I applied for it last month, and interviewed at the beginning of the semester. They told me a few days after my interview in March that I got it.
Besides that, what else do you plan on doing this summer?
I’ll be lifeguarding at the pool I’ve been at the past four summers.
What has been one of your most memorable Hofstra events?
The concert for Hofstra’s 75th Anniversary with Trey Songz and Blue Oyster Cult.
Do you want to say anything to your friends from the Class of 2011, since they’re graduating soon?
I’ll miss my fellow [2011] RAs dearly and wish them success. Make sure to come back and visit the Square!
