Why did you choose Fordham? I’m originally from Manhattan, and I went to a Jesuit high school here in the city. I couldn’t think of a better place to continue my Jesuit education than at Fordham University. I love being involved on campus. I’m currently the president of La Academia, where I discuss Latino culture and issues, and I help new commuters get used to Fordham as a Commuter Assistant. The fact that I got to stay in the city as a result is a major plus! Usually during finals week I like to do things in the city spontaneously. I believe that if you study hard, you have to party hard, too! There’s no better place to do that in New York City!
What do you look for in a girl? The first time I saw my girlfriend, I definitely noticed something different about her. Maybe it was the spark in her eyes or her smile, but there was so much good and positive energy around her. Now that we are together, I make sure to pull out all the stops to make to keep her happy. I’m an easily-pleased guy, but I always like putting in extra effort to make her smile. She is a really big fan of Alice in Wonderland, so for Valentine’s Day I started off the date with a romantic dinner, and then I took her to the Alice in Wonderland statue in Central Park. Once we were done with our walk, we headed back to her house and had a mini-movie marathon: all Alice in Wonderland movies. Besides dates like that, I like that she understands that I can be really busy at times but that I’m still there for her no matter what.
Since you are dating one, what is it that makes Fordham girls so special? They have a good sense of humor and know how to have a good time!
