Place Profile: Three Samurai – The place to be for foodies

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Iowa chapter.

Alright ladies, if you don’t have access to a car, you may need to buy a bus pass fast because the best Japanese restaurant around is not within walking distance.
Located on the second floor of the Clock Tower Plaza in Coralville, Three Samurai Japanese Restaurant is a hit with food-lovers all around Iowa City.
The atmosphere is perfect for an enjoyable and conversational meal.  The restaurant’s large, south-facing windows allow light in at all times of day.  There is a wide variety of seating for groups of any size.
But the real reason to make your way down the Coralville Strip to this restaurant lies behind the sushi bar.  This restaurant has the best sushi in town by far and is worth every penny you’ll spend.  I’d recommend the Rainbow or Black and Gold Rolls, but there is no way you’ll be disappointed no matter what you order.
All of their food arrives at your table with perfect, artful presentation.  Anything off of their menu almost looks too good to eat.  It may not be the kind of restaurant that you can get a quick bite at during the weekend dinner rush, but the experience of the meal is top notch.
I’d recommend making your way to Three Samurai for their specials on sushi rolls one Sunday or martinis on Tuesdays.  This is one restaurant you cannot miss during your time in Iowa.
