Name: Alex Rossman
Hometown: Lake Oswego, Oregon
Major: Interdisciplinary Studies (Music and Communications)

Alex, but best known as Rossy, has a bright future ahead of him. With so much opportunity knocking at his door Rossy has already established a name for himself in the music industry. Having just recently had a tour across the West Coast Rossy is set for summer to go ahead with his “Life is A Beach” tour (Summer 2011). With his admirable positive attitude, Rossy has also started his own Humor Productions. This bright beach boy is going to need some pretty sick shades.
HC: Tell our readers a little about yourself.
Rossy: Well, I have one sibling, a freshman here at the UA. I like tropical places, long walks on the beach, touring, surfing, dogs, vans, skinny jeans, tank tops and hair gel. All the good stuff.
HC: When did you first get into music?
Rossy: I asked for my first drum set when I was about 10 years-old, not too long after I came across an old guitar in my grandfathers attic, a Takamine, from there I taught myself how to play and have loved it since.
HC: So, you’re a singer-song writer, how many songs would you say you have written?
Rossy: Probably close to the equivalent of the amount of sand grains on the beach. But I’ve only officially recorded about 25 of them.
HC: Have you had the opportunity to work with many people in the music industry?
Rossy: I’ve gotten to work with some pretty awesome people, Shwayze, Mike Posner, Cisco Adler (Producer, found the Doors while in LA years back). And of course my man Chris Young, we’ve done many collaborations together.
HC: Tell me about Good Humor Productions.
Rossy: It’s more of a movement right now, everyone has humor in life and I love to find the humor in everything. Someday I’d like to produce music, videos, do promotion for up and coming artists.
HC: Where do you derive your inspiration from?
Rossy: Bob Marley, he revolutionized the “feel good” music, made it all less formal.
HC: Anything else you’d like our readers to know?
Rossy: People tend to look at those breaking into the business as models, mannequins as if produced that way but I have always been down-to-earth, I will always stay true to myself.
