Place Profile: Quinton’s

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Iowa chapter.

A bar and deli combo seems like it’d be hard to pull off, but Quinton’s in downtown Iowa City has been making that look easy since 1991.
Located at 215 E. Washington Street, Quinton’s has an extensive menu full of healthy, vibrant sandwich combinations that is sure to satisfy.  It is the perfect location for a quick lunch with friends in between classes or even a casual night out on a date.  The Angel is a perfect, light selection for a midday meal that will help kick start the rest of your busy day.
The two floor building is always filled with individuals from all parts of campus, bustling in and out during the day, but by night it’s an entirely different picture.
The dark walls and cabinets have new life underneath neon lights and surrounded by a thriving social scene.  Quinton’s has fabulous weekend drink specials including delicious $4 big girl margaritas on Friday nights.
This is certainly not a sports bar.  Instead, Quinton’s is much better suited for conversation-seekers.  It is certainly the perfect spot for a night out with the girls.  You’ll have an amazing time chatting away while enjoying fabulous cocktails right in the heart of downtown Iowa City.
Those looking to socialize with a group of friends or even begin a quieter night downtown should check this place out.  It always seems to maintain the perfect amount of customers, a big enough crowd to be entertaining without forcing patrons to spend half an hour ordering a drink.
Do yourself a favor and check this place out soon, it will surely be worth your while.
