Since launching in September, HC Illinois has been in the Top 10 highest viewed ‘My Campus’ pages (frequenting the top spot!) every week and has also been featured in an article on the 217.com. With over 600 Facebook group members and over 200 Twitter followers, HC Illinois has been expanding it’s viewership across campus and is becoming a respected online source highlighting stellar Illnois students and organizations. Our goal is to provide interesting content through unique blog and lifestyle pieces related to the University of Illinois and its eclectic, vibrant and intelligent student body.

Ashley Kurek is a senior in Communication and wants to pursue a career in public relations. She is also interested in fashion and wants to attend a fashion design school and eventually open her own boutique! She loves living in Chicago but will dearly miss campus town and the University of Illinois when she graduates in May. She spends most of her time working as the Vice President of Social Media at HC Illinois, the assistant project director of Illini Public Relations Association, and working 2 jobs (one promoting Bacardi!) As an active member of Alpha Xi Delta, Ashley enjoys being with her friends and boyfriend.
