Breathe:

When you feel your whole body tensing up from the anxious feeling coursing through your veins.

When you write down assignment after exam after lab report after essay

When you feel the pressure of your family, or even worse yourself veering down on you telling you to do better, be better.

Breathe:

When you’re locked up in the library

With the sound of pens clicking, fingers typing, heads scratching

Feeling the bright light shining so brightly against your face you can’t decipher what time of day it is

Take a moment

Take your time

Take a second to just:

Watch the sunset glisten against the landscape

To immerse yourself in the escape of a book

To cover your body in warm water and feel your muscles loosen as you transcend into a state where your mind, body, and soul unite

Without breath

Without air

Without tranquility

You cannot feel the true beauty and warmth of success, power, and happiness

So remember

To just

Breathe
