Ok… so our Halloween costume predictions from last week were a little off. Here are our thoughts:

Where was Mr. Worldwide?

Despite my unwavering confidence that there were going to be a lot of people dressed as Pitbull this year for Halloween, I did not see one Pitbull costume. Maybe some people did dress up as Mr. 305, but I, unfortunately, did not see any. Instead, I saw a lot of people dressed as members of the Scooby-Doo gang and, as to be expected, a lot of fairies. Fingers crossed that next year I will see some Pitbulls floating around on Halloween. I am still convinced that the costume would be iconic.

Squid Games Was There… Once

I was thoroughly convinced that, despite never watching the show myself, there would be a multitude of Squid Games inspired costumes this year. Although definitely present on social media, I only saw one Squid Games costume in person on campus. I guess people decided the green jumpsuit look wasn’t for them. Instead, I saw people opting for the classic Britney Spears looks or, surprisingly, quite a few Harry Potter cosplays. I can’t wait to see what Halloween trends next year will bring.
