Can’t decide what to watch on Netflix? Looking for TV show recommendations? Don’t worry, here are 6 shows to binge watch on Netflix right now!

*WARNING: this post and/or links may contain spoilers*

Outer Banks

Outer Banks follows a group of teenagers, who call themselves “Pogues”, as they quest to find out what happened to John B’s, the leader of the group, missing father. In the process of finding John B’s father, the Pogues encounter a map that contains clues to whereabouts of a ship’s treasure. I was introduced to this show right after season 2 was released and I immediately became obsessed with it (I can’t wait for season 3!). This show has everything: Beaches, treasure, suspense, and more. Take my word for it when I say this show is a must-watch!

new girl

New Girl centers around Jess, a teacher, after she breaks up with her boyfriend and moves into a loft with three other guys (Nick, Schmidt, and Coach). I stumbled across New Girl on Netflix when looking for a show to get hooked on and I haven’t been the same since. This show symbolizes the importance of friendship and it’s sort of like a modern-day Friends for me.

Squid Game

I’m sure a lot of you have already heard of Squid Game. It was one of Netflix’s most successful releases of 2021. The show centers around hundreds of contestants, who are deep in debt, whose lives are at risk as they play in a series of children’s’ games – with a twist. I heard about the show a few weeks after it released since my friends couldn’t stop talking about how good it was, so I decided to give it a chance. I binge watched the entire first season in one sitting – that’s how addicting it was!

Stranger things

Stranger Things revolves around a small town, Hawkins, and the investigation of the sudden disappearance of Will Byers. As the investigation for Will goes on, government secrets are exposed as it’s revealed that a nearby lab has secretly been conducting experiments into the supernatural. Those experiments lead to the creation of a portal to an alternate dimension, known as the “Upside Down”. I’ve been obsessed with this show ever since it came out and have been creating theories in my head in preparation for the release of season 4.

YOU

You centers around Joe Goldberg, a stalker who becomes infatuated with specific women he meets. Joe goes to extreme lengths just to be in their lives and sometimes it backfires on him. I binge watched all three seasons when they released and I can’t wait until season 4 releases to find out what’s next in Joe’s tumultuous journey.

schITT’S CREEK

Schitt’s Creek revolves around a wealthy family that suddenly goes broke and are forced to live in a rustic and run-down town, Schitt’s Creek, they once bought as a joke. This show has given me so many laughs when I’ve binge watched the seasons. One of the main reasons I love this show is its sarcasm and jokes, as well as its ability to be a prime example of comedy done right.

I hope you enjoyed my list of binge-worthy shows to watch on Netflix! I’m a huge fan of all these shows and hopefully you will be too when you watch them!
