Euphoria Season Two: What’s Happened and What’s to Come

Welcome back to Euphoria High! Where there is lots of sex, drugs and glitter. With only three episodes released of season two so far, a LOT has happened. Let’s take a look at those things, and where I think the show is going.

What’s Happened:

1. Rue relapsed and is now selling drugs
   • Rue loves drugs, that is no secret. But as her own sister said, normal people doing drugs is not like Rue doing drugs. And now, in order to get free drugs, she is selling them. We can only hope for the best for her, but how is this going to work, an addict selling drugs?  
2. Rue and Jules are finally together – for now
   • Season one ended with Jules leaving Rue on a train. They could not stay away for long though, with them sharing a kiss at the end of season two episode one. With them being so back-and-forth last season, how long this will last?
3. Rue and Jules have a new friend
   • Enter Elliot: the boy Rue met in the bathroom at a party and did drugs with. Will he be a good friend for them, break them up or maybe even join in on their relationship?
4. Kat doesn’t know why she doesn’t love Ethan
   • Last season, Kat ended up with Ethan, the sweet boy who loves her. Only problem? He is boring. Will he be too boring for our confident webcam girl?
5. Cassie is obsessed with Nate
   • It can be agreed that Cassie is always in love, but in love with your best friend’s [Maddy] boyfriend; that is going to cause some trouble. Especially when the only time Nate notices her is when she either looks like Maddy or when he wants sex.
6. Nate still loves Maddy (or so he says)
   • While having a secret relationship with Cassie, Nate is still trying for Maddy. And after the last episode, he’s seen baling on Cassie and instead bringing flowers to see Maddy. Does Nate want Maddy back or are there other intentions at play?
7. There is some flirting between Lexi and Fez
   • Lexi has always been in her sister Cassie’s shadow. With last season not giving her much of a role, this season seems to be different. And even better than that, she seems to be flirting with our favorite drug dealer Fez. Will there be a romance between them?
8. Maddy has Cal’s “disc”
   • Remember that disc in season one, where Cal is seen having sex with Jules? The one that Nate took, and the one that Maddy found? Yes, that one. Cal is looking for it, and he is targeting anyone who he thinks may have it. Will he find out that his own son’s on-and-off again girlfriend Maddy has it?

What’s to Come (my predictions):

1. Rue will stop doing drugs, again
   • Whether it’s because of the possibility of her drug buddy Elliot overdosing or Rue getting in trouble for not selling the drugs and instead taking them, something drastic is going to happen that will make Rue stop.  
2. Rue + Jules + Elliot: love triangle or throuple?
   • With Jules now being friends with Rue’s friend Elliot, there comes a lot of questions. Jules and Elliot are sexual, whereas Rue is not. Rue is absent on her hunt for drugs a lot, while Jules and Elliot are together. These facts cause me to think whether Rue and Jules relationship will now include Elliot, or if Elliot may cause some troubles in paradise for the two for them.  
3. Kat breaks up with Ethan or starts webcamming again
   • As nice as Ethan is, Kat is not satisfied. And when you are not satisfied, you look elsewhere. This is why I believe that Kat is going to either breakup with Ethan or start webcamming again to get some excitement back in her life.
4. Nate picks Maddy
   • Nate is going to get back together with Maddy, or at least try. However, I do not know if he wants to be with her because he misses and loves her, or he if thinks she has his dad’s disc, and he wants it. Only time will tell.
5. Lexi and Fez start up a romance
   • The producers hinted at it and now the fans want it. There is no better trope than when the good girl falls for the bad boy. Here’s to hoping that Lexi can handle Fez’s line of work.
6. Cal targets Maddy for his disc
   • As Cal desperately wants his disc back, Maddy being Nate’s girlfriend is not going to stop him from doing what he can to get it back.

There are so many more things that have happened and are expected to happen, but that would be giving away the whole show. So log in to HBO Max and start watching Euphoria before the next episode airs tonight at 9 p.m.!
