If you’ve been struggling with getting back into the swing of school, you’re not alone!

Going back to school after a month-long break isn’t easy. Some of us spent our break doing absolutely nothing related to school work, which makes it that much harder to go back to studying all day and going to lectures. Here’s a list of ways you can make the adjustment easier and stress-free.

Take Time to Yourself

It can be overwhelming to go from total relaxation to having an overabundance of work. It’s important to take a few minutes to yourself every day and step away from your work. My personal favorites? Taking a quick pilates class or watching Real Housewives.

Reset Your Sleep Schedule

Sleep is important, never forget that! If you have class at 9:30 a.m. and you’re doing work until 1:30 a.m., it’s time to put down the laptop. You’re never going to be able to get work done if you’re falling asleep at your desk.

Work Towards A Routine

Life can feel chaotic when you’re thrown into new classes at different times on different days. To help limit the anxiety that may come from all of these changes, try making yourself a daily routine to follow.

Make Time For Friends

It’s important to take time for yourself, but it’s also important to remain social. Even if it’s just for an hour make sure you spend time with friends, they can be such an easy distraction from schoolwork or other stressors.

Make A Master Planner

With a master planner, you can lay out every single thing you need to do throughout the day. You can organize schoolwork, due dates, and easily manage your free time. It’s one of the simplest and easiest ways to keep organized.

Adjusting to college life isn’t an overnight change for everyone, and that’s okay. If you find yourself constantly forgetting about due dates or are stressed about the time being spent solely on school, take time to look at the options on this list and pick which works best for you.
