- Aquarius
-
As I have mentioned before, all Aquarius friends remind me of life in general. I feel that this sign is best represented by a flower that can grow in both water and soil, two of Earth’s greatest life-givers. The particular flower that also brings me joy just to look at would be amaryllis.
- Pisces
-
Given Pisces’ are typically known for their emotional sensitivity and ability to have emotional awareness, I felt that a wonderful flower to represent this water sign would be one that also symbolizes emotional healing. Many flowers can symbolize this, but my personal choice (and favorite scent as well) would be lavender!
- Aries
-
Again, in a previous article, I have discussed my Aries friends and their tendency towards ambition and confidence erring sometimes on the side of arrogance. I feel that there is a particular flower we all know in this world, and while this flower has many reasons to be confident for its beauty, scent, and capitalist popularity, I also feel strongly that it has certain arrogance associated with it as well. Aries, without a doubt, is a rose in my mind. Though considered “mainstream,” and “common,” the rose holds its popularity for a reason and I don’t foresee an end to this anytime soon, so never be offended or off-put to be associated with this gorgeous and ever-loved flower.
- Taurus
-
Perhaps the easiest to associate with one flower over another, Taurus is a sign that strives for serenity, peace, and contentment in their daily lives. As the flower that symbolizes contentment, the lotus is perfectly suited for every Taurus.
- Gemini
-
Undoubtedly a lesser-known flower, dodder felt an amazing choice to represent this sign. Gemini’s are often extroverted and sometimes known to be unreliable and particularly nosy. Dodder is a parasitic plant known for its ability to produce masses of vines around its chosen host, representing both prevalent traits of this air sign.
(Gifs of this plant simply do not exist, so please enjoy this SpongeBob gif in it’s place!)
- Cancer
-
As a gal who happens to be dating a Cancer, I can confirm that this sign often is accompanied by a fair share of temperament and spitefulness, but we love them anyway. I felt that a great flower to represent Cancer folks would be one that also symbolizes a certain level of hostility, and that would be tansies!
- Leo
-
Leo’s are very energetic and generous signs, which very often hold the means of being natural-born leaders. A well-known flower that is used many times ceremonially and has become known as a symbol of leadership is the carnation. These are also the reasons that I feel Leo is best served by this beautiful flower.
- Virgo
-
I absolutely have no ability to be unbiased towards this sign because it is my own, and because of this, I feel that I can only allow Virgos to be represented by daisies. Virgos often hold a positive and sunny outlook on life, and as a flower that closes its petals at night until it can open again to follow the path of the sun, daisies do well to represent this earth sign.
- Libra
-
Though this flower may have been used to represent a previous sign, a less common version of the stereotypical Valentine’s Day red rose, the yellow rose is widely known as a symbol of friendship. I have found that Librans are some of the friendliest people I meet and are always able to become friends with anyone they interact with and are beautifully intertwined with yellow roses and sunshine in my mind!
- Scorpio
-
Scorpios are often misunderstood signs that have both very strong positive and negative predominant traits. The lily of the valley, though a beautiful flower that represents good fortune and happiness, is also a flower that is extremely poisonous. Because of this, it has also become known as a representation of loss and sadness. The contradicting meanings and their beauty versus its poisonous nature lead me to feel strongly that this flower is Scorpio’s best portrayal.
- Sagittarius
-
I find that one of the most predominant traits in Sagittarius is their natural intelligence. This fire sign is chock-full of loyalty, compassion, and wisdom. A flower that does well to compliment all of these traits is none other than the iris.
- Capricorn
-
Known for their worker-bee attitudes and perseverance towards a common goal, Capricorns are best deserving of the representation of sunflowers. Sunflowers are not only very strong but also do a lot in terms of helping the environment! All-in-all, a very hard-working flower, indeed.
