Over Spring Break, my sister and I continued our tradition of going to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. For the past five years, my sister and I have made sure to at least go to Disney World once a year. For the first time since starting this, I was finally able to legally drink and get to experience drinking around the world. Here, I will be describing and rating every alcoholic beverage I was able to try at Disney World.
Black magic MARGARITA – epcot – mexico pavilion
The first drink I got when I arrived at Disney had to be one of my favorite things to drink. This drink has a blackberry puree and is made frozen, which instantly got me wanting to try it. The Black Magic Margarita was definitely one of the best drinks I had at Disney and was a good way to kick off drinking for the day. Rating: 10/10
VIKING COFFEE FROZEN – EPCOT – NORWAY PAVILION
Next, right after we finished doing the Frozen ride in Norway, we went into their little bakery shop where they sell the Viking Coffee that I keep seeing on TikTok. This drink was a mocha and coffee mixture that came with Bailey’s in it and a Norway branded coffee. This drink was good, but definitely not my favorite as I am not a major Baileys drinker. However, the mixture of two of my favorite things, alcohol and coffee, did not disappoint, as the drink was a good one to aesthetically take pictures with as well as have a nice refreshing drink on a hot day. Rating: 9/10
FRENCH MARTINI – EPCOT – FRANCE PAVILION
At our lunch, I had ordered a French Martini to go along with my massive chicken salad. While the martini was good, it was very strong as it had a bitter fruit flavor as well as the alcohol being stronger than what I am used to. However, it was very good and I was able to sip on it throughout the meal. Rating: 7/10
TOKYO SUNSET – EPCOT – JAPAN PAVILION
From the research I did before going, this was the #1 drink I knew I had to try because everything regarding the flavors sounded so amazing to me. In this drink, there is coconut rum along with peach, banana, and pineapple-flavored alcohol. The second I tried this drink, I knew I would need to be recreating this at home because it is everything I love in a drink. It is sweet and good, but still aesthetically pleasing and had an alcoholic taste to it that didn’t make me feel like I was drinking out of the bottle. Rating: 100/10
DUCK DUCK RAZZ – DISNEY SPRINGS – THE BOATHOUSE
At our favorite restaurant at Disney Springs, The BOATHOUSE, I ordered the Duck Duck Razz which consisted of sweet alcohol such as Peach Schnapps, Stoli Razz, and more. This drink fit the theme of the BOATHOUSE well and made a cute Instagram picture as well. However, by the end of the night, this drink just felt a little too strong for my liking, however, the rubber duck that comes with the drink made up for it. Rating: 7/10
CALIFORNIA SUNSET – HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS – BASELINE TAP HOUSE
The next day we were at Hollywood Studios, and I decided to try the California Sunset Drink from the Baseline Tap House. This drink reminded me a lot of the Tokyo Sunset drink and was sweet but still had an alcoholic taste to it, which was perfect for me. Rating: 10/10
BLUE MILK WITH RUM – HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS – STAR WARS GALAXY’S EDGE
Now, as a major Disney veteran, I’ve already tried the blue milk (which is superior to the Green Milk in my opinion) without alcohol before. However, for fun, I thought I would try it with the Rum because why not? This drink will become dangerous for me next time I go because I could not taste the alcohol at all, and I’m already a sucker for the blue milk. This drink is 100% a must-try for those that go to Hollywood Studios. Rating: 10/10
WATERMELON MARGARITA – OHANA RESTAURANT – POLYNESIAN VILLAGE RESORT
The Watermelon Margarita was by far one of my favorite drinks I’ve ever tried. As you can probably tell by now, I love fruity flavors, so this one fit right in. It was fun to try and had a kick to it but still was fun to sip on as my sister and I waited for our dinner reservations. Also, being the major Harry Styles fan I am, this one just felt perfect to try. Rating: 9/10
LAPU LAPU – OHANA RESTAURANT – POLYNESIAN VILLAGE RESORT
First, this restaurant is by far one of our favorites, and the Lilo and Stitch Hawaiian theme is perfect. With it being a Hawaiian-themed restaurant, I had to try their iconic drink that comes in an actual pineapple. The Lapu Lapu has a fruity and tropical taste to it which just compliments and makes the experience that much better. My only issue about it was between the all-you-can-eat family-style and this massive drink, it became very hard to finish, especially by the end of the night. Rating: 9/10
PINA COLAVA – PETALS POOL BAR – POP CENTURY RESORT
During the day when my sister and I decided to go back to our hotel for a couple of hours before our dinner reservations, I went to our resort’s pool bar and ordered a Pina CoLava, which has raspberry-flavored rum and raspberry puree inside the cup. My sister had ordered this earlier in the week and recommended that I try it. Its puree and fruity flavors of it make this drink fun to take pictures with as well as a good refresher on a hot day. Rating: 9/10
LOVELY WINE FLIGHT – MAGIC KINGDOM – BE OUR GUEST RESTAURANT
Now, I am someone that is not a major drinker of wine or beer, so when I saw that was all Be Our Guest offered I was a little heartbroken. However, with Be Our Guest being another classic restaurant that I love and wanting to extend my alcohol preferences, I ordered the Wine Flight which consisted of White, Rose and Red wine. Now, being the wine hater I am, my expectations were very low, and I knew ahead of time I would probably not like at least one of the wines. The White Wine was by far my favorite as it had that bitter wine aftertaste that I tend to not like, but was smooth and had other flavors mixed into it that I was able to finish it and like it. The red wine shocked me as I was able to finish that as well, however, it did have more of that bitter wine taste which I do not like. The Rose was by far my least favorite which surprised me. I was only able to take one sip and then had to give the rest to my sister who adores the Rose. Overall, for someone that cannot do wine, I was impressed by this and enjoyed at least getting to try them. Rating: 6/10
HULA HOOP – PETALS POOL BAR – POP CENTURY RESORT
The Hula Hoop, which was exclusive to my hotel’s bar, was one of my favorite alcoholic drinks I’ve ever tried in my 6 months of being 21. The sweetness and fruitiness to it reminded me a lot of the California Sunset and the Tokyo Sunset I’d had earlier in the week. The pro of this drink, however, was the cute little pineapple that they would put on the side which made me feel fancy and cute. This drink I ended up getting the next couple of nights after we got back from the parks because it would help me end my day on an even more positive note. Rating: 1000/10
FROZEN BROWN ELEPHANT – EPCOT – AFRICA
After doing the morning at Animal Kingdom, my sister and I decided to go over to Epcot again to try more drinks and do the rides we didn’t get to on the first day. The Frozen Brown Elephant which is available on one of the stands that are in the African part of the World Showcase was delicious. This drink includes an African liquor combined with frozen Coca-Cola, one of my other favorite drinks. The African liquor gave the Coke a kick but I did not feel like I was drinking straight from the bottle as I had felt with some other drinks. The drink was also perfect considering it was an incredibly hot day, so it felt refreshing. Rating: 10/10
ENCHANTED APPLE – STORY BOOK DINING AT ARTIST POINT – WILDERNESS LODGE
At our dinner, which was a Snow White Themed restaurant, I tried the Enchanted Apple cocktail which had vodka, sour apple taste to it, and sugar lined around the rim. This drink I was nervous about since I wasn’t sure how much I would like the sour apple, but it fit the theme of the restaurant perfectly and ended up being a great drink. It was more on the bitter side than what I had expected but it was tasteful and complimented my dinner perfectly. Rating: 8/10
BLACKBERRY SOUR – CALIFORNIA GRILL – CONTEMPORARY RESORT
At the fanciest restaurant we went to this trip, I tried the Blackberry Sour along with Disney’s 50th Anniversary meal that the restaurant served. This drink was obviously on the sour side instead of the sweet like I am used to, but it was still a fantastic drink to try. It had the blackberry taste which I loved. Surprisingly, I ended up liking this drink so much, that I did another round of it at dinner. Rating: 9/10
Overall, I loved the drinks I had while on this vacation and I am glad I got to try the ones I did. While the next time I am at Disney, there might be some I don’t purposely seek out, getting to try them was a fun experience and I finally got to see what all the hype was surrounding some of them. Next time I am at Disney, I will try to find new ones, especially from the different pavilions in Epcot, because no one can make it as good as Disney.
