Zendaya is one of the greatest celebrities of Gen Z, as many of the critics say: “a woman of talent and business”. This is evident: she works in several movies – acting and producing! -, tv series and, besides all that, she also sings and dances.
Since 2009, Zi has been active in her occupations and she started as a child model and backup dancer. Now, she’s only 25 years old and we can affirm that her career is based on talent – I believe she was born with it -, although she studied in Oakland School for the Arts, she is a work of art!
Certainly, the title of this article stands for itself. But if you still have any doubts about this fact, I’m here to prove to you that her talent is incomparable in many aspects.
1. Zendaya in Lip Sync Battle
Zendaya interpreting Bruno Mars is absolutely ICONIC! Besides the costumes, which are just like the singer’s, she dances and it’s just like the artist himself! We have to agree that the dance is not that easy and she totally MADE IT!
The year was 2017. While she was dancing “24K magic” by Bruno Mars, Tom Holland was dressed with red lipstick dancing “Umbrella”, Rihanna’s music. The world after this specific day was never the same and, nowadays, we can still see the choreography in many videos on Tik Tok.
This day was a watershed, Zendaya and Tom Holland’s fandom – which is not small – just freaked out!
2. Euphoria: season 2 – episode 5
Stand Still Like the Hummingbird: that’s the name of the episode. Rue (Zi”s character) exposes Cassie, who’s been hanging out with her best friend’s ex boyfriend. Her character also has to deal with the loss of her father, the relationship with her family and the identity crisis, while she have toxins in her body.
Zendaya won the Emmy in the 1st season of Euphoria – the HBO’s series. Because of that, everyone knew that she would do her best in the 2nd season, but she exceeded our expectations. In that episode, she plays the role of a person suffering from abstinence — something that influences all her relationship spheres. The way she did it was unquestionable, it was insane!
3. Spider-man: No way home
Since the Lip Sync Battle, the world started loving Zi and Tom Holland… Or can we say MJ and Spider-Man? As we have a multiverse on the stories of the spider young boy, there’s an empathy by each girlfriend.
Andrew Garfield, Spider-Man in the second multiverse, was one of the co-stars with Zendaya, (MJ). In “No way home”, Zendaya’s character is saved by him. The lines in that moment were just like “I’m okay. Are you okay?” – in an interview on Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast, the actor said that it “was all Zendaya”, something he wanted to call out “[as] a tribute” to the actress’ talent.
4. The Greatest Showman
Anne Wheeler (Zendaya) is the name of the character, and in the circus, the introverted woman started to overcome her insecurities to start a relationship with the man she likes, Philip (Zac Efron).
Proving that her talent is beyond the expectations, Zendaya debuted in the musical The Greatest Showman with Zac Efron hanging from the flying trapeze, a circus apparatus which she had to build up upper body strength!
5. Malcolm & Marie
Malcolm & Marie is a movie produced by the same director from Euphoria (Sam Levinson). The scenes were captured on 35 mm black-and-white film and the movie is mostly about two people – a couple -, which means that the psychological and emotional depth of the characters are insane. And guess what? She gave her all in the role.
Moreover, Malcolm X is one of the biggest names of black representation, which makes the feature length even more special.
Taking into consideration all of these facts and moments, we can’t say that Zendaya isn’t extremetly talented and a symbol of feminism! Moreover, she is special and a very good person. Everyone who knows her says that she is really thoughtful – it’s impossible not to like her! As she has worked as an actress, singer, composer, dancer, voice actress and model since she was only 13, Zi is multi talented. So, is her capacity even questionable?Â
