*Spoiler warning for Marvel’s Morbius*

Some people like to know what they’re getting into before watching a movie—like what to look out for, potential triggers, etc. If you’re one of those people, this is the article for you!

Gore

This movie contains a bit of gore, implied gore, and other things that may make weak stomachs woozy. There are points where you see needles, people getting injected with needles, and people’s veins showing through their skin. Blood and blood bags are reoccurring objects on the screen—which makes sense for a film about a guy with a blood disorder turning into a vampire. You see people biting, scratching, and sucking the blood out of others—sometimes from far away or in the aftermath of dead bodies.

Romance

Of course, like most major movies, there’s a bit of romance. Our main character, Dr. Morbius, has an interesting relationship with one of his nurses. It’s nothing steamy or wild, but if romance scenes make you uncomfortable, be warned, they kiss.

The Villain

Every superhero movie needs a villain; this one just happens to be his childhood best friend, Milo, who has the same blood condition Morbius has. Against the wishes of Dr. Morbius, Milo takes the “cure” for their disease and also becomes a vampire. While Dr. Morbius fights his vampire urges and has the best intentions, Milo embraces the evil vampire way. This is a great conflict between two characters with the same powers and strength—which is made greater through the film’s incredible special effects.

I could talk about this movie for ages, but I don’t want to spoil too much for you! In short, Morbius has a good storyline, great jokes, and awesome special effects. I would recommend this movie to anyone who can stomach the gore aspects!
