Alaya Johnson is a first-year member of the Writing and Editing committee at TAMU chapter. She writes stories regarding lifestyle, media, or anything that has been on her mind as a Texas A&M college student, bringing her own deep and unique perspective to Her Campus.
Currently, Alaya is pursuing a major in English with a concentration in Creative Writing, planning to further her writing career through Her Campus TAMU and publish books in the future. Born and raised in the suburbs of Austin, Alaya has had her sights set on writing, and even works at a local coffee shop where she can fully embrace this lifestyle.
In her free time, Alaya loves to do anything creative and currently has far too many hobbies than she should with a busy schedule, but still keeps adding to the list; the present being painting. Her favorite series (plural because she cannot choose) are the Bear and the Nightingale, the Bone Season and the entirety of the Maas verse, and her favorite TV show is American Horror Story. She loves to learn about astrology and is always open to expand her knowledge on the matters, along with women's health and plants. Her favorite artists are Lana Del Rey, Clairo and Lady Gaga, but she is always looking to be introduced to more music!
