Alina Brunelle

I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and have moved back and forth from San Diego, California so I was raised in both places. I am a mixed race so I am half Afghani and half white with three siblings and one dog. I love growing up in Utah because of the mountains and nature but the ocean will always have a place in my heart. I decided to move to Texas to experience something different with a great adventure.

I am currently an undergraduate first year student. I am coming from graduating at a charter school called American Preparatory Academy in West Valley City, Utah. I have been a part of the National Honors Society, FCCLA, and been president of a math club to help tutor students along with starting an art club at my high school. I had also been a section leader at our school's advanced choir for 2 out of the 4 years I was there. I hope to continue joining organizations and clubs to make a difference for all people around me.

Most of my hobbies include being physical because I love being involved in anything athletic. I did competitive dance for 8 years and in between that I was on a swim team in the summer and joined a snowboarding team in the winter. I participated in cheer, tumbling and gymnastics, and have found a new love for Lyra (an aerial art form). I am very spontaneous so I am always willing to go out and try new things with new people!
