Amaia Connell

Hello! My name is Amaia Connell, and I’m a second-year Journalism and Mass Communications student at North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, North Carolina. I’ve always had a love and passion for storytelling, even at a young age, so choosing to become a journalist took no thought. I exhibited this when I worked on staff and served as an editor at my high school news magazine. I also learned software such as Canva, InDesign, and Photoshop there. Other than serving as an editor At my university, I have written for HER Campus Magazine, the leading media platform for college women. I am a writer and reporter for my collegiate news publication, the Register. I have edited, reported, and served as executive producer for a student-led talk show, and I’m currently an intern for a local publication called Triad Voice Magazine. With my degree, I plan to either go into entertainment news or hard news.
