Andrea Rivera

My name is Andrea Rivera and I’m the Vice-President of the Her Campus of the FIU chapter. I oversee the writer’s schedule as well as our team's meetings. Apart from that, I help our chapter president with events and anything they need help with.

Before becoming vice president, I was an editor for two semesters. During my time as an editor, I learned how much I enjoy writing and being part of an editorial team. Beyond Her Campus, I also work as the editor-in-chief assistant at Strike Magazine in Miami. I help the editor-in-chief manage the issue directors as well as help out with the creative progress of forming a magazine issue. I am also the creative director of the flower shop I work at. I am responsible for photoshoots for our seasonal collections, collaborating with different businesses as well as running their social media page. Finally, I’m a Digital Journalism major with a concentration in graphic design and digital photography.

In my free time, I enjoy thrifting and dancing. I also enjoy spending time with my friends and going to concerts! I love playing sudoku and casually going to the gym. I’m obsessed with Modern Family and when I’m not working or at school I’m watching season 7 episode 18. My goal this year is to get 65 words on iMessage’s word hunt.
