Ava Thomas

I’m Ava, I love art, traveling, reading romance and Mystery, board games, and hiking. I ran cross country for 6 years and lacrosse for 2 in highschool. A fun fact about me is I was on the KU waterski team and my legs hyperextend(a lot). I love quality time with friends and family and I’m obsessed with horror movies, thrillers, dramas, and shark movies.

I’m majoring in behavioral science hoping to become a speech language pathologist or child life specialist. I love kids and am passionate about helping people who find a hospital environment scary or struggle with hypochondria or worry about their health.
I’ve worked mainly as a nanny for a few years caring for kids ages ranging from 1-12. I’ve also worked in customer service at a tanning salon, and door dashed.

I’m so excited to be a part of hercampus this year. I love having a group of women to meet and collaborate with every week and more. It’s helped me get out of my shell and push myself to meet people and make new friends. I love this opportunity and can’t wait for what’s to come!!!
