Cameran Alspach

Hi! My name is Cameran. I'm a first year Molecular Genetics major and French minor at The Ohio State University. I am 18 years old and have obtained two associates degrees (AS, AA) before graduating high school. I was able to achieve this through Ohio's College Credit Plus program, which is a subsidized dual enrollment program available to Ohio's middle and high school students. I decided to forgo graduating high school a year early to complete them; a decision that was hard to make but ultimately the right call.

While I love science and am definitely a STEM girly at heart, I also have a special interest in politics and social issues, video games, cosmetics, and history. I am extremely excited to explore these topics in the articles I write. I am outspoken and crazy diligent, which are qualities I hope are evidenced in my writing.

Most days, you can find me in the library, because my major allows very little time that is not allocated to studying, or in the Chipotle on High St. destroying a burrito. Sometimes you'll catch me on the phone with my boyfriend who is explaining the same calculus concept for the fourth time because romance isn't dead. When I’m not doing one of those lovely activities, you’ll see me on my bike, reading, or listening to SZA (SOS was so good, wasn’t it?). If you ever catch me in the wild, don’t hesitate to say hi!
