Catherine McDonald is a writer at Her Campus Carleton who loves to share about books, mental health, environmentalism, food, and art.
She is a sociology major that recently transferred from Trent University to Carleton Fall of 2022. She has loved writing all her life. She had her first poem about gender roles published in anthology at 14 and won the John Pettigrew prize for best first year English essay at Trent University. She is currently the events executive of the Poetics Society, the administrative executive of CUHRS, and the financial executive for Carleton Book Ravens. She also started her own club: Animal Rights Carleton.
She loves to stay active by going for walks, stretching, weightlifting, playing basketball, skiing and going for hikes.
Her guilty pleasures include: bad reality TV like the Bachelor, vegan chocolate which she keeps a stash of in her pantry, and never finishing books she reads.
